Is There Anybody Out There? The Return of Darlington Pagan Moot!

The Mandua Briga Seed Group of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids invite those of all pagan paths – Druid, Wiccan, Heathen, Hedge Witch and others – to a friendly, inclusive and informal moot at the Clocktower Café in The Goods Shed at Hopetown Darlington to find out if there is interest in re-starting a regular pagan moot in the town. The venue is fully accessible. Everyone welcome. Saturday 22nd March 2025 at 2pm.

  1. Hi good evening hope you are well and keeping safe my name is Chris nice to meet you on here. I am very interested in learning how to be a witch please and thank you. Would it be possible to meet up sometime soon for a chat. To talk. I would like to join your coven group please if you would have me. I don’t have a car but willing to give out petrol money.

    1. Hi Chris we are Druids and not Witches although there is some over-lap. We are not a Coven we are a Grove. We do run rituals (or will when things settle down) and we follow the course laid down by The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. Some of us also have interest in Wicca or Heathenism or Shamanism as well. At the moment we are only admitting people who are members of OBOD but we may widen things out at some point. Whereabouts are you based?

    1. Hi Lisa, we’d like to, but again 2025 has been a difficult year for both myself (Liz) and Jenny with another close family bereavement, me being in hospital for a while and Jenny moving house. We are really hoping for a more peaceful year in 2026 and to be able to do a lot more in terms of running the moot. In the meantime, there are two excellent moots fairly close by. The Durham Pagan Moot is on the first Tuesday of the month run by our lovely friend HarKetae Green – the next one will be Tuesday 3rd February 2026. The Wear Valley Moot in Bishop Auckland is on the third Tuesday of the month and is run by our lovely friend Steve Cousins. Both are really friendly moots and many of the people who came along to our moot in Darlington go to one or both of these moots too. They both have Facebook groups you can join for more information.
