Yesterday Jenny and I were invited to attend a lecture at The Yorkshire Museum on the Melsonby hoard. The details of the hoard are absolutely stunning. I did start taking some photographs of the presentation but was just so overwhelmed by the volume of amazing images of all of the finds that I ended up just sitting there open-mouthed! There is going to be another talk in Richmond at the end of October and hopefully we will be able to take it all in a bit more in when we go to that one. There is so much to talk about – watch this space!
